A Day in Happy Land by Hatched and Patched

Designed by Hatched and Patched, A Day in HappyLand is a relaxing quilt to make. It consists of mainly wool appliqué and stitchery. Each month there are at least 6 appliqué images to create, each being stitched on a natural linen background. These are then stitched down onto a background fabric, giving the illusion of the blocks floating around together.
The techniques are very simple, using fusible web appliqué and a whip-stitch for the woven wool appliqué, and mainly backstitch for the stitchery component.
The program runs over 12 months. Your pattern, linen, and background fabric is purchased at the beginning. You will receive a monthly kit ($10 per month), which includes the hand-dyed wool and cotton fabric pieces for each block. (Note – threads, backing, binding or batting are not included).
