This artwork was based on a kimono in a collection exhibited at the Canadian Textile Museum in 2018. The kimono was an historical piece that inspired the flowers and the shapes in the cathedral windows. You will learn how to make the cathedral windows, applique the wool and cotton flowers and quilt the layers with big stitch quilting. Assistance will be given to stretch your final piece on a wooden artist's stretcher.
